Some results that DNA sequencing has given have so far have been machines that enhance the ability to DNA sequence for scientist. One such machine is the Illumina HiSeq 2500 sequencer. Using this method, DNA molecules and primes are attached on a slide then are amplified with polymorse so it will allow that local clonal DNA colonies, also known as “DNA clusters”, are formed. There are four types of reversible terminators bases to determine the sequence. Then images are taken of fluorescently labeled nucleotides. Then dye along with the terminal 3’ blocker, is chemically removed from the DNA, which allows for the next cycle to begin. The makers of this product is 454 life sciences; a Roche Company.

Biotech Product

Illumina HiSeq 2500 Sequencer

Their role is to provide scientist with better equipment that will help them with their studies. So it will enhance their understanding of DNA sequencing. Consumers that would use these products are scientists, researchers, and anyone who is interested in learning about DNA sequencing. These products are not just for a selected few, 454 life science products are for the public to use, for those who are drawn to DNA sequencing. For the people who are passionate about learning more than what they already know. This would impact the economy in a way that the more people buy this product, the more and better products are made so that there would be no limit to what you can discover.
